Seit 25 Jahren frönt ERIC FISH nun seiner Leidenschaft, der akustischen Liedermacherei. Mit verschiedenen musikalischen Begleitern, entstanden 8 Alben und ein Film. Bei allen Entwicklungen blieb doch eines immer gleich: Die Neugier auf die Wirren des Lebens und deren Manifestationen in den Köpfen und Herzen der Menschen. Aus dieser Neugier sind weit über 100 Lieder entstanden.
“Auf den Grund” ist, passend zum Jubiläum, eine Retrospektive der frühen Jahre von ERIC FISH & FRIENDS. 14 Songs, neu aufgenommen, und nunmehr in modernem Soundgewand mit Bass und Schlagzeug daherkommend.
Es ist nicht überraschend, dass diese Lieder älterer Bauart, nicht vom Zahn der Zeit berührt zu sein scheinen. Ihre Inhalte gehen über die Betrachtung eines einzelnen Momentes hinaus und münden stets in einer Botschaft, welche dem Hörer ein stilles, hoffnungsfrohes Lächeln ins Gesicht zaubert.

For 25 years, ERIC FISH has indulged his passion for acoustic songwriting. With various musical collaborators, he has created eight albums and a film. Throughout all these developments, one thing has remained constant: his curiosity about the complexities of life and their manifestations in people’s minds and hearts. Out of this curiosity, well over 100 songs have emerged.
“Auf den Grund”, fittingly for the anniversary, is a retrospective of ERIC FISH & FRIENDS’ early years. Fourteen songs, newly recorded, now presented in a modern sound with bass and drums.
It’s no surprise that these older songs seem untouched by the passage of time. Their content transcends the contemplation of a single moment and always culminates in a message that brings a quiet, hopeful smile to the listener’s face.
